Please read this before posting. Clear reports help others understand the issue quickly and reduce follow-up questions.

    1. Choose the correct regional forum (required)

Post your report in the forum that matches where the dumping occurred.

This forum is for North West Trinidad only.

If the issue is outside North West Trinidad, please return to the Illegal Dumping category and select the appropriate regional forum.

    2. Include a clear location (important)

Whenever possible, include a map link showing the exact location of the dumping site.

    Using WhatsApp

    1. Open WhatsApp on your phone.

    2. Tap the attachment icon (paperclip).

    3. Select Location.

    4. Choose Send your current location.

    5. Tap the map preview, copy the link, and paste it into your forum post.

    Using Google Maps

    1. Open Google Maps.

    2. Press and hold to drop a pin.

    3. Tap the location details at the bottom of the screen.

    4. Select Share.

    5. Copy the link and paste it into your forum post.

If you cannot share a map link, include the town or area, nearest street or junction, and a clear landmark.

If known, describe what has been dumped.

    Examples include:

    • Whether dumping appears to be ongoing.

    • Whether additional waste has accumulated over time.

    • Whether the waste is scattered or concentrated in one location.

    • Whether it is blocking drains, waterways, roads, footpaths, or access points.

    • Impact on nearby homes, schools, businesses, parks, beaches, or environmentally sensitive areas

    5. Add photos or videos if possible

Photos provide valuable evidence and help others understand the severity of the issue.

    Photo uploads are supported.

Video uploads are not currently supported. If you have a video, include a link from YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, or another recognised platform.

Please avoid including identifiable faces or vehicle licence plates unless necessary.

    6. Use area tags and material tags

Area tags identify the affected community.

Material tags identify the type of waste being reported.

North West Trinidad area tag examples:

    • Keep tags short and specific.

    • Add multiple tags where appropriate.
